AnnexKloof's winemaker & owner Hugo Basson added a new division to their bussiness...
The first lemons were planted by the Basson brothers on the farm Voelgesang. Apart from the vines (with beautiful Chenin Blanc amongst many other cultivars...) they also produce plums, pomegranates and now lemons at Voelgesang. Best of luck and may we excpect a 'lemon infused beverage' from AnnexKloof in the future? ..... anything is possible in the Swartland !!

Welcome to Annex Kloof Wines

Hugo Basson, the Malbec King of South Africa
Annex Kloof Wines is situated in the Swartland, on the R45 between Malmesbury and Paarl, in the beautifull Paardeberg area.
At this “Ruby in the dust” lives the ‘Malbec King of South Africa, Hugo Basson, who believes that ANNEXKLOOF should be written in red, due to his passion for Red Wine, especially Malbec!
The name, Annex Kloof, has the beautiful descriptive meaning of “where the gorges meet” and today it is a family project, belonging to the Basson Family, but it all started four generations back when great-grandfather Matthys planted the first vineyards around 1907, in the Paardeberg and started making wine in 1910.

Annex Kloof is situated approximately 82km from
Cape Town on the R45 between Malmesbury and Paarl.
